To ensure that requests for research compounds via our Compound Sharing initiative are used for the purposes stated on this page, we are unfortunately not able to share our GLP-1 compounds at the moment.

To accelerate innovation, we openly share novel peptide and protein analogues as well as antibodies for preclinical research.

Through this open innovation initiative, we offer easy and free access to selected high-quality and well-characterized compounds to curious and passionate scientists from around the world. We hope that sharing can advance the research of those who want to discover new mode of action and expand disease biology understanding, which can ultimately contribute to accelerating future breakthroughs for medical solutions.

The process and criteria are simple and transparent - we provide the compounds for free for you to validate your scientific hypothesis, you own the results and are encouraged to publish these. There is no reporting required but if you obtain exciting new results, you are welcome to get in touch for a discussion of the data and the possibilities for a future collaboration.

On the Compound Sharing website, select the compounds of interest from the list and describe the scientific hypothesis (non-confidential) and experimental model. Accept the terms and conditions (no login required in order to read these) and place the order.

Any intellectual property generated by you when carrying out the study purpose as described in the compound request will belong to you. This is also described in the terms and conditions on the website, which can be accessed without a log-in.

Once a request is made on the website, the Compound Sharing team consisting of Novo Nordisk scientists will review it. We will strive to reply on your request by e-mail within 10 working days. If approved, the requested compound will be shipped as soon as possible (import permits may need to be provided to us, we cannot guarantee that we can ship compounds to all countries).

You can order up to a maximum of three vials per compound and three different compounds per order. The amount of compound in each vial is listed in the ‘Read more’ section on the website for each compound.

There are no direct costs associated with ordering compounds from Novo Nordisk. These compounds are provided and shipped free of charge.

No, it is not a requirement to report the data. However, we hope that you will publish your data and we are always open to discuss new and exciting findings generated with our compounds. Please get in touch with our Compound Sharing team ( if you would like to discuss the data with our in-house scientists.

Yes, you are free to publish the data and study results obtained from the use of the compounds provided by Novo Nordisk. Please acknowledge Novo Nordisk Compound Sharing in the publication using the following format: “NNCXXXX-XXXX was provided by Novo Nordisk Compound Sharing”.

Please state in the purpose field when making a request if you require more compound for your studies than what is offered via the website. In that case, we will contact you to discuss the possibilities and a possible project-specific agreement.

Not all, but most of compounds available on our website qualify for in vivo studies. If restrictions on in vivo use exist, it is clearly stated in the compound introduction on the website for the particular compound.

Yes. For each compound, whenever available, we include calculated properties, structural information, in vitro and in vivo data, reference compound information and relevant literature references. All information can be found on the Compound Sharing website under the respective compounds and can be downloaded as a PDF data sheet.

Yes, for each compound we provide suggested handling instructions on how to dissolve and/or store the compounds. These are located on the Compound Sharing website under the respective compounds and can be downloaded as a PDF data sheet. Please regard the handling instructions as a guidance.
