The position

Based in Mississauga, you will work alongside a diverse and passionate team dedicated to delivering high-quality results and robust data to health authorities, publications, and health technology assessments.

 

As a Senior RWE Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will:

 

  • Lead the development and execution of Real-World Evidence (RWE) strategies and programmes for assigned therapeutic or functional areas.
  • Conduct real-world data studies using internal and external platforms to generate disease insights and epidemiological information that improve patient care and support business needs.
  • Drive innovation in RWE analytics by implementing advanced analytic methods, platforms, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a strategic partner and subject matter expert in real-world evidence and advanced analytics.
  • Manage vendor relationships and strategic collaborations to ensure optimal execution of RWE initiatives.
  • Communicate RWE strategies and findings to key internal stakeholders and the scientific community.
  • Develop and utilise the Novo Nordisk Real-World Data platform and external data sources, including electronic health records and administrative health claims.
  • Conduct non-interventional research and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.

 

Qualifications

 

To be successful in this role, you should have the following:

Need to have:

  • Advanced degree (MSc, PhD, PharmD, MD) in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Data Science, Predictive Analytics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of RWE combined with extensive medical affairs or health economics experience (8 to 10 years total industry experience).
  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Python, SPSS, Stata), database queries (SQL), or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Collaborative approach to problem-solving and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Nice to have:

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Peer-reviewed publication track record.
  • Experience conducting non-interventional research.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps methodologies.

 

About the department

The RWE function is newly created and reports into the Clinical & Medical department.

Salary: For this role, the annual base salary ranges from $136,310–$186,310. The placement in the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on your skills, competencies, and knowledge, and how your relevant experience matches the position requirements.

 

Incentives: Based on the role’s level and other factors, the salary package may include short-term (STI) and/or long-term (LTI) incentives.
