Your new role

As Medical Advisor, you'll drive medical excellence across the obesity portfolio in China, bridging global strategy with local clinical reality. You'll be the medical voice shaping how we engage healthcare professionals, support patients, and generate evidence that transforms treatment approaches.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing medical strategy for the obesity portfolio in China, aligned with Global Medical Affairs and International Operations frameworks while incorporating critical affiliate insights
  • Building and maintaining relationships with top-tier key opinion leaders and medical societies, ensuring they're equipped with the latest science and data through advisory boards and face-to-face engagement
  • Creating Core Medical Narratives and medical toolkits tailored to China's clinical pathways, enabling consistent, evidence-based dialogue across all customer touchpoints
  • Identifying data gaps through Investigator-Initiated Studies (IES) processes and leading Real-World Evidence (RWE) projects that address unanswered medical questions
  • Driving the publication strategy from concept to execution, including conference presentations, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and digital medical content
  • Providing medical expertise across the value chain – from commercial strategy and brand planning to consumer engagement platforms like WegovyCare
  • Conducting medical review of promotional materials, company communications, and patient support program content in accordance with SOPs

 

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a Medical Advisor who combines deep clinical expertise with strategic thinking and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills. You'll bring with you:

  • Medical Master's degree or above, with clinical practice experience and prior work in medical affairs
  • Previous experience in medical affairs for consumer-facing healthcare or OTC products is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of both medical science and marketing principles, with the ability to translate complex data into compelling medical narratives
  • Proven track record in engaging key opinion leaders and medical societies, with excellent medical communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in Real-World Evidence generation, publication planning, or investigator-initiated studies is a strong advantage
  • Analytical mindset with sound judgment and the ability to identify data gaps and design studies to address them
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, with the ability to work effectively across global and local teams
  • Customer-oriented approach with strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical medical practice and living company values
