About the department
The P&O Department at KFA in charge of managing the human resources of the factory. We work closely with the factory management to develop and implement human resource strategies that meet the business needs of the factory. The position
The role involves effectively managing the P&O Department to ensure the successful execution of key P&O activities at the KFA site, delivering value-added P&O services in collaboration with Novo Nordisk Pharma (NNPL) P&O functions, aligning them with business needs, and contributing to business priorities (80%). Additionally, the position requires supporting factory P&O activities upon request from the P&O Manager for the KFA Factory (20%).
As an HRBP at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Ensure proper maintenance of HR processes and systems in KFA in full compliance with local Labor legislation and corporate requirements to support business strategy in cooperation with NNPL P&O functions when necessary, including but not limited to recruitment and selection, on-boarding, performance management, compensation and benefits management, training system ensuring compliance with NN, GMP and local requirements, personnel administration
  • Develop and drive activities such as respective training, activities relevant to cultural evolution aimed at supporting the business needs from the organizational perspective to create an innovative and inclusive environment
  • Ensure KFA employer value proposition promotes Novo Nordisk as the best employer and supports attraction and retention of the best employees.
  • Provide day-to-day advice to line managers on all human resource issues: management of staff, remuneration, motivation, development, etc.
  • Act as a guardian of corporate values anchored in NN Way, taking proper actions to ensure high level of engagement in KFA and healthy working environment.
    Closely collaborate with PS, LM and NNPL to ensure the alignment of the processes implemented.

 

Qualifications

  • University degree or higher education.
  • Fluency in Japanese and business level English required.
  • At least 5 years of practical HR experience, with solid business expertise, including knowledge about organizational development, change management, succession, and talent management.
  • Familiarity with Japanese Labor law, preferably with factory HR experience and exposure to pharmaceutical or regulated industries.
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility, build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, work collaboratively, and act as a role model for the organization. Also, adept at problem-solving, compassionate personalities and behavioral styles, demonstrating strong employment law knowledge, manufacturing acumen, and strategic problem-solving skills.
