The Position
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to ensure the successful implementation of project requirements, objectives, and expectations related to formulation and process skids. The Project Engineer will operate under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager to:
Serve as Engineering Responsible (ER): Organize meetings with vendors and suppliers, conduct routine inspections at manufacturing sites, and oversee FAT, commissioning, SAT, and IV/OV processes.
User Requirement Specifications: Draft, review, and submit User Requirement Specifications for pharmaceutical equipment, utilities, and systems for approval.
Design Contributions: Actively participate in design activities, including Conceptual, Basis of Design, and Detailed Engineering.
Technical Document Review: Review technical documentation from suppliers and engineering firms to ensure compliance with standards and guidelines, including general arrangement drawings, PFDs, P&IDs, installation drawings, material requisitions, instrument datasheets, and contractual documentation.
Process Safety Meetings: Participate in Process Safety meetings, focusing on Hazid and Hazop activities, ATEX assessments, Functional Safety Assessments, Risk Assessments, and IT/OT and applicable Automation workshops.
Qualifications
Our successful candidate has a master’s degree in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) and 2-4 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Engineering Specialist within global GxP projects in pharmaceutical industry or engineering firms.
In addition, you have:
Strong understanding of engineering principles, essential for designing, constructing, and testing equipment, along with a solid grasp of the documentation flow during the design and qualification of equipment, facilities, and utilities.
Project Management Skills, with a good understanding of planning, executing, and overseeing tasks to ensure they meet quality, cost, safety, and performance standards.
Ability to identify issues and develop innovative solutions to ensure reliability and efficiency in production processes.
Excellent attention to detail for ensuring accuracy and compliance with engineering standards in plans, drawings, and specifications.
Proficiency in conveying complex technical information clearly to stakeholders and providing technical support to the sales force.
Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and enhance engineering operations.
Fluent English and Italian, both written and spoken
