Call for applications for Novo Scholarship 2023
Novo Nordisk and Novozymes invite master students at
Danish universities to apply for a Novo Scholarship. With these
scholarships, we intend to support talents within natural science. The
scholarships are granted to support the students during their master
thesis project.
Applications can be submitted once per year, following a call distributed to all relevant faculties at universities in Denmark. To be eligible, you must be enrolled at a Danish university and pursue an education within natural sciences, and do your thesis project in a field of interest to either Novo Nordisk or Novozymes. Due to international regulations, students training to be healthcare professionals (HCPs, such as medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses etc.) are not eligible to apply.
Only applications for support of scientific projects of interest to Novozymes or Novo Nordisk will be considered. The applicant must be a master student enrolled at a Danish university during the entire period of time of the scholarship. The university supervisor must be associated with the same institution. Marks for bachelor project, if part of the curriculum, must be at least 10, and the weighted average for the bachelor minimum 8.2. Owing to regulations regarding support of Health Care Professionals in Denmark, the scholarship cannot be granted to students who are training to become: medical doctors, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacists, nurses, veterinary nurses, midwives, biomedical laboratory technicians, clinical dieticians or radiographers.
You can download the application form here. The filled in form (and appendices) must be sent to novoscholarship@novonordisk.com no later than

Applicants will receive replies in November 2022. Scholars and their academic supervisors will be invited to a joint meeting at either Novo Nordisk or Novozymes for an introduction to the scientific focus and Research & Development priorities in an industrial setting. This will take place during the first half of 2023 and will offer an opportunity for the scholars and their supervisors to learn more about Novo Nordisk/Novozymes and an opportunity to engage with their mentors.
Global Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): Novo Nordisk and Novozymes will keep your application for a period of maximum 6 years from the end of the approved fellowship project, or for non-approved projects up to 6 months from the application deadline.
