Your new role
As Project Director - Due Diligence, you will play a key role in Novo Nordisk's Research & Early Development (R&ED) organisation by leading cross-functional teams of scientific experts to evaluate external opportunities such as acquisitions, licenses, and collaborations. Reporting to the Vice President of Partnership Management, you will ensure seamless coordination and delivery of due diligence efforts. 

Your main responsibilities include:
• Providing on-time and high-quality due diligence assessments to R&ED leadership and governance committees in collaboration with subject matter experts
• Representing R&ED and collaborating with Global Business Development, External & Ex-ploratory Innovation, and other Novo Nordisk value chain representatives to prepare business cases
• Supporting discussions with potential external partners in the context of due diligence
• Ensuring timely and seamless transfer and handover of completed deals to the internal R&ED organisation
• Building capabilities and evolving a standardised, best-practice due diligence process framework within the R&ED organisation

 

Your new department
The External & Exploratory Innovation (E2I) Partnership Management unit is a centre of excellence for executing and managing external collaborations, partnership programs, and due diligence processes. Based in Denmark, the team supports contracting, negotiation, and deal-making activities while fostering innovation scouting in local communities. With a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere, the department is dedicated to discovering science and innovation with the highest value creation potential. Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for an experienced and driven professional who can bring the following qualifications to the role:
•  PhD in e.g., Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Cell Biology or similar
•  Minimum 10 years relevant experience in drug discovery and project management of drug development projects from the pharmaceutical industry
•  Experience with leading cross-functional projects
•  Business understanding within R&D and in-depth knowledge of drug discovery processes and previous experience with Due Diligence and related external projects is a plus
•  Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken) are required.
