About the department
The Digital, Data & IT Manager role is part of the Customer Engagement team at Novo Nordisk Malaysia. As a Digital Data IT (DDI) Manager, you ensure business goals are supported by innovative digital, data, and IT solutions. You act as both digital data architect and custodian, while also enabling frontline teams to connect with customers digitally and providing analytics infrastructure for actionable insights.

The position
As a Digital, Data & IT Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation across the organization. You will design and implement innovative digital strategies, identify growth opportunities, and leverage data-driven solutions to support business objectives. Collaborating closely with internal teams, you will champion continuous digital innovation, ensuring scalable and impactful solutions are delivered to meet short and medium-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement local digital strategies in alignment with business objectives, ensuring effective execution by driving DDI projects or serving as a trusted consulting partner to other functions.
  • Employ a business-oriented mindset to identify opportunities and DDI projects to support business growth and address needs across the value chain.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures for data acquisition, validation, storage, and processing. Ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance as well as, ensuring that data is available and structured in a way that facilitates effective analysis.
  • Drive continuous digital innovation, including implementing multichannel customer engagement platforms, integrated data analytics systems, automating processes and defining the digital roadmap for short to medium-term goals.
  • Act as a business partner by collaborating with internal teams to develop scalable and impactful solutions across the business area.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum University Degree in Computer Science, Business, Strategy, Innovation, or Econometrics; advanced degrees such as MD or MBA in IT strategy and Advanced Analytics are preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in digital consultancy, digital, data, IT, or business management, with a minimum of 5 years in project management and partnering across functions.
  • Proven business acumen, leadership, and teamwork qualities. Strong stakeholder management skills to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes. Strategic focus, customer-centric mindset, and innovation in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in oral and written English.
  • Experience establishing working solutions using digital platforms and advanced analytics designed to provide insights and recommendations for commercial execution preferred.
