The position

As the Project Lead, you will be part of the Advanced Technology department within Procurement Excellence, a Center of Excellence (CoE) focused on optimizing the source to pay process through the utilization of innovative technology. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your project management expertise to drive change, lead digital innovative solutions, and gain exposure within a global organization during a time where procurement excellence is a key priority on the corporate agenda.

 

Currently, we are undertaking a thorough evaluation of the global P2P setup to evaluate its effectiveness across various aspects such as people, processes, and technology. 

 

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) for the project.
  • Oversee the implementation of short-term and long-term initiatives to address identified challenges.
  • Ensure the establishment of a fit-for-purpose operating model enabled by smart technology.

 

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, finance, engineering, supply chain management or related fields
  • Possess minimum of 15 years of experience, preferably from a top-tier management consultancy or a leading global company operating across multiple locations
  • Have a proven track record of leading the implementation of global IT systems and realising their values
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of procurement and S2P systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP) and processes, particularly expertise in driving Purchase to Pay (P2P) standardisation
  • Exhibit excellent project management skills, with ability to lead complex projects involving diverse global stakeholders and multiple project streams simultaneously
  • Showcase exceptional communication skills including interacting with and reporting to executive and senior management levels
  • Demonstrate the ability to influence and guide diverse project teams effectively, particularly in the procurement field.

 

On a personal level, you are motivated by driving change, bridging gaps across cultures and effectively collaborating with stakeholders at all organisational levels. You set high ambitions for yourself and can motivate and lead others without authority. Moreover, you effectively multitask and manage multiple priorities in an organized manner. Lastly, you are analytical and result-oriented with excellent communication and presentation skills.

 

About the department

Corporate Procurement is the Centre of Excellence for procurement in Novo Nordisk. We are responsible for the global procurement strategy, processes, and systems. We negotiate contracts covering more than DKK 80 billion of Novo Nordisk’s spend. Global Procurement has 500 employees around the world with the largest hubs in Denmark, India and the US.

A key enabler for taking Procurement to the next level will be to leverage holistic insights to drive value in and from procurement. The Advanced Analytics team is responsible for driving this journey.
