If so, you might be our new Advanced Tooling Engineer. Apply today for a life-changing career!

The Position

As an Advanced Tooling Engineer, your primary goal will be to drive development of injection moulding tools from ordering to qualification in a highly collaborative work environment.

For the safety of the patients we serve, everything we do must adhere to a well-defined set of regulations and quality standards. You work with cGxP requirements and are the engineering responsible for qualifying moulding tools. We never compromise on quality and ethics.

Collaboration across the organization and with external suppliers is essential to succeed in this role. We are working with a diverse set of stakeholders with a high degree of flexibility, trust, and a team player attitude. By joining a large organization, get a chance to see the change as an opportunity and work proactively in project teams with different governance in an independent way.

The combination of a large group of technical experts and versatile tasks covering moulds from low volume to extremely high volume gives a unique opportunity for professional growth. As part of Novo Nordisk, you benefit from a global network of colleagues, where the only limit for development is your ability to keep up with it.

The main tasks will be to:

  • Be responsible of ordering moulding tools and through an extensive period of testing and process optimization to ensure proper functionality, resulting in the targeted output of plastic components that fulfil all specifications.
  • Engage in the development of new medical devices by contributing with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) of plastic components and challenge specifications based on manufacturing capabilities.
  • Develop the right technical solutions based on a well-documented set of requirements, in close collaboration with tool makers, mechanical designers and colleagues in production support.

Qualifications

The qualifications we value include having:

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical/manufacturing/industrial engineering or technical education as a toolmaker.
  • Proven 1-3 years’ experience in the development of injection moulding tools, manufacturing development and/or development processes; or experience in working in the medical, pharmaceutical industry or other highly regulated GxP environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in CAD modelling, mould making as a mechanical designer, tool manufacturing processes, such as: EDM, grinding, milling, etc.
  • Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

As a person, you have amazing communication, collaboration and global stakeholder management skills. Having the right behaviour is valued as much as achievements and aspiring to be a role model among the peers, setting direction.

Taking initiative, while also having the ability to follow through and showing appreciation for quality is essential in the role. We will welcome a colleague who enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues as a true team player.

About the Department

You will be joining 60+ dedicated technical experts and projects managers in the Components Manufacturing Solutions (CMS) department in Final Product Manufacturing  Science and Technology (FPMSAT) - Hillerød. We develop the equipment and processes that bring great design into life-changing products for our patients. We enjoy sharing our knowledge, and we are eager to get to know you and learn from you.
