Do you thrive in an environment where two workdays are never the
same? Are you passionate and experienced within the field of
pharmaceutical production? Do you have the skills to help us optimize
and develop our production? Then keep reading. We are looking for a
new colleague to support and optimize the purification of insulin detemir.
The department
Purification Plant II consists of approximately 100 competent
and dedicated colleagues who ensure the production of the active
pharmaceutical ingredient, insulin detemir. The department is divided
into 3 production teams and 2 support teams. The support team, where
the position is available, consists of 11 academics and technicians
with various backgrounds.
The job
The most important task of the team is to support and optimize
the daily production of insulin detemir in accordance with GMP. The
purification process of insulin detemir consists of column
chromatography, crystallization, centrifugation, acylation and drying.
When issues arise in the production, you will play an essential role
in solving the problems briefly and effectively. Thus, in close
cooperation with the maintenance staff, the operators and the various
stakeholders, you will have a crucial role in ensuring a stable production.
Aside from ensuring a stable production, the job also gives rich
opportunities to optimize and improve the process. You will get the
opportunity to manage or participate in various projects such as
implementation of new technology or process optimizations. In the
nearest future, PPII will be rebuilt into a multipurpose facility
capable of producing some of the most novel insulin analogues. This
provides a golden opportunity to challenge yourself while contributing
to the strengthening of Novo Nordisk´s leading position within
diabetes care.
Based on your competencies, talents and passion, we will make sure
that you are continuously in development personally and
professionally. We can offer you a challenging job where no days are
alike. For the right candidate, this job can potentially be a stepping
stone leading to a career as a specialist, a line manager or a project manager.
Qualifications
You hold a degree in engineering, biotechnology, pharmacy or
natural sciences. Alternatively, you have competences and experience
acquired from working in similar fields. Preferably you have a few
years of experience from pharmaceutical production, but newly
graduated candidates will also be taken into consideration. If you
have experience with GEP (Good Engineering Practice) or automation it
will be viewed as a big plus.
As a person you are ambitious with a can-do-attitude. You are
able to learn new skills quickly and you thrive in a busy work
environment where priorities often change. You have a positive
approach to problem solving and you solve problems in a structured and
systematic way. You are a team player who is open, honest and
independent, as well as flexible to changes.
You have good communication skills and the ability to efficiently
work with concurrent tasks. Being proactive, responsible and energetic
is important if you want to succeed in this position. In return, you
will find opportunities for personal and professional development that
will be hard to come by elsewhere.
