Location

Your impact begins here

As Process Cleaning Engineer, you will help establish a brand-new API purification facility by making sure its process equipment can be cleaned reliably and in line with GMP. You will take cleaning from design through commissioning, qualification and validation, working closely with engineering, automation, validation and manufacturing colleagues. Your work helps build production capacity that is flexible and ready for future growth, supporting people living with serious chronic diseases around the world.

What you’ll bring

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotech or API manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical production processes, process equipment, validation activities and GMP documentation practices.
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • The ability to collaborate across disciplines, work through technical challenges and take ownership in a regulated, project-driven environment.

We are hiring several Process Cleaning Engineers and welcome applications from people with different levels of experience. What matters most is how you collaborate, solve problems and deliver quality.

Useful, but not essential:

  • Experience with Cleaning-in-Place (CIP), cleaning validation, qualification activities or process engineering.
  • Danish language skills.

What you’ll do

You will be part of a major expansion project, helping design, develop, validate and implement cleaning processes that meet both regulatory requirements and day-to-day operational needs.

  • Drive Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) activities across the project lifecycle, from design and commissioning through qualification and validation.
  • Take part in design reviews, risk assessments, engineering runs, riboflavin testing, verification activities and troubleshooting.
  • Support validation activities and make sure work meets GMP requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Work with contractors, engineering partners, project teams and manufacturing representatives to keep decisions clear and work moving.
  • Contribute to risk management and continuous improvement, and help shape future standards for cleaning processes in API manufacturing.

Who you’ll work with

You will join PS API Expansions, part of API Manufacturing in Global Manufacturing & Supply. The team designs, plans and delivers major API capacity expansion projects across Novo, building flexible, future-ready production facilities for the people who need our treatments.

Your closest partners will be engineering, automation and validation specialists, along with project teams, contractors and manufacturing colleagues, both internal and external. The team works across disciplines, functions and geographies, and shares knowledge to keep these strategic projects on track.

You will report to Manager Guilherme Sales or Allan Feldtskov, who can tell you more about the team and the role.

What you can expect here

You will be trusted to influence technical decisions and contribute to the successful delivery of a facility that supports Novo’s future growth. You will work with state-of-the-art technologies and ambitious sustainability targets, and build new skills through hands-on experience in a large-scale pharmaceutical project.

You will be supported to perform at your best in a team where knowledge sharing and continuous learning are part of daily work, and where your voice is heard.
