Title: Global Publications Lead
Team: RareD Medcomms & Publications, Product & Portfolio Strategy
Location: Novo Nordisk Global Business Services (GBS) Bangalore, India
Shape the global publication strategy for rare disease therapies and bring life-changing research to the scientific community.
Your new role
As Global Publications Lead, you'll be the driving force behind our rare disease portfolio's publica-tion strategy. You'll chair cross-functional Publication Planning Groups, orchestrate the end-to-end publication process, and ensure our scientific work reaches the right audiences at the right time—ultimately accelerating access to treatments for patients with rare diseases.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Planning and chairing Publication Planning Group (PPG) meetings, driving alignment across cross-functional stakeholders and ensuring timely decision-making on publication priorities, timelines, and authorship
- Leading end-to-end execution of comprehensive publication plans with emphasis on high-impact manuscripts including primary publications, key secondary analyses, and pooled analyses
- Managing the full publication lifecycle from concept development and author coordina-tion through journal submission, peer-review responses, and post-publication activities
- Coordinating development of congress materials including abstracts, posters, oral presentations, and publication extenders in line with medical strategy
- Ensuring compliance with GPP, ICMJE guidelines and company SOPs while upholding the highest standards of scientific integrity
- Managing relationships with key opinion leaders, internal medical writers, and external agencies, including budget oversight and contracting
- Providing guidance and training to internal stakeholders on publication best practices and authorship criteria
Your new department
In Product & Portfolio Strategy we drive commercial strategy, medical affairs and business devel-opment across all therapy areas. We act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness upstream, and maximising portfolio potential through successful commercial strategies and competitive launches downstream.
The RareD Med Comms & Publications team is part of the RareD department in P&PS GBS, based in Bangalore. This dynamic and collaborative team is dedicated to supporting the Rare Disease therapy area and driving impactful commercial deliverables for Novo Nordisk's global RareD portfolio. With a focus on quality, innovation, and teamwork, the team works closely with Global and focus markets worldwide, providing an inspiring and supportive environment for your career growth.
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a strategic publication professional who thrives in a global, cross-functional environment. You'll bring with you:
- Master's or Ph.D. with substantial clinical and/or research expertise in a relevant area such as Endocrinology, General Practice or Internal Medicine
- 4-6 years of publication management experience from pharma, STM publishing or a medical communication agency; ISMPP CMPP Certification would be beneficial
- Deep knowledge of publication guidelines including GPP4 and ICMJE, with proven experi-ence ensuring compliance
- 4+ years of project management experience with demonstrated ability to coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder deliverables
- Experience as a Datavision super user/admin and strong familiarity with scientific com-munication principles
- Excellent planning, coordination and stakeholder management skills combined with goal-oriented thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Fluency in written and spoken English with the ability to engage effectively across different cultures
