Your new role

As a Category Lead at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Develop and implement category strategies aligned with organizational goals and stakeholder needs.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee procurement processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Drive cost optimization and value creation initiatives to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Lead and develop the virtual category management group, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Represent the procurement function in strategic discussions, balancing short-term operational needs with long-term organizational priorities

 

Your new department

As part of the Commercial & International Operations Procurement team your main office will be at our offices in Bagsværd. You will be part of a dynamic and ambitious group supporting our stakeholders in our commercial focused line of business. Delivering value beyond savings, challenging and optimizing how we work.

 

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • + 6 years of experience in procurement or category management from the pharmaceutical or other health-related industry. Expertise in category-specific procurement processes and supplier relationship management
  • Proven leadership experience managing senior professionals or first-line managers.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to align procurement activities with strategic goals.
  • Proficiency in advanced data analytics and market intelligence.
  • Experience with digital transformation and procurement technologies.
  • Strong analytical acumen and financial understanding of procurement decisions. - Exceptional communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Knowledge of compliance and risk management in procurement activities.
