About the Department

You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx), which is responsible for all major expansion activities within aseptic production, solid dosage forms, finished products, fill & finish warehousing, and QC across all production areas in Product Supply. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 50,000 employees.

 

FFEx is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan, and build all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. The Position

Ensure the availability and control of spare parts necessary for the repair and maintenance of equipment, to include managing inventory, identifying parts, and ensuring timely delivery to support production and maintenance activities.

 

Relationships

Reports to Associate Manager, Manager.

 

Essential Functions

  • Participate in & support project work related to spare parts
  • Responsible for vendor communication & interactions
  • Utilize SAP for managing spare part inventory, movement, receipt & goods issue
  • Execute incoming material inspection process
  • Execute Lay-up program by performing preventative maintenance tasks on parts in storage
  • Pull & stage material as defined for planned maintenance
  • Return unused stock to proper stowage & inventory
  • Perform routine ABC inventory cycle counting process; report on accuracy & participate in investigations for discrepancies
  • Monitor common stock inventory & work with vendor on service procedures
  • Participate in optimizing parts storage for ease of retrieval & storage space utilization
  • Execute cLEAN principles & follow environmental, health & safety requirements
  • Operate forklift, hand-truck & other machinery to safely carry out the movement of materials
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other duties, as assigned

 

Physical Requirements

Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Ability to be on feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May require corrected vision to 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. May be required to work at elevated heights. Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazardous materials. May be required to wear gloves. Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environments. Occasionally positions oneself within confined spaces for inspection, repair & maintenance of equipment. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Able to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks. Does not require a valid drivers license.

 

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Supply Chain/Material Management or a related field  of study from an accredited university with a minimum of one (1) year of inventory control and warehouse/distribution experience required, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
    • In lieu of an Associate’s degree with a minimum of one (1) year of experience, may consider a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years of experience and knowledge in inventory control & warehouse/distribution required, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency and demonstrated competencies in the following areas: maintenance & repair, inventory control processes, staging procedures, and material handling skills/capability required
  • Experience in working with the SAP materials management module preferred
  • Attention to detail, ability to think critically & sequentially with proven time management skills preferred
