This is a maternity cover position (10-months) with the possibility of extension that can be based either in Søborg, Denmark or in London, United Kingdom.

 

Your role
As the Associate Director, Journey Management, you will lead Novo Nordisk’s shift toward enterprise-wide workflow optimisation by designing and operationalising end-to-end user journeys across R&D. Your role focuses on connecting digital products, business processes and people to reduce friction, accelerate research activities and ensure systems interoperate to deliver measurable improvements in speed, quality and user experience. You will also set standards and influence organisational design and portfolio decisions to institutionalise journey-driven ways of working across R&D.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Refine and roll out a journey management framework that enables cross-functional alignment with a focus on the proactive use of journey maps in context of core business processes, ensuring it is measurable and can support decision-making across critical digital products and workflows
  • Aggregate and centralise high-impact workflows, ensuring standards for journey maps are consistent across product teams (pain-points, JTBD, frictions), interlinked to business process software tooling, and digital product analytics tooling for optimal use by teams  
  • Work alongside with UX strategists, and partner with product directors, process leads, tech delivery and business architecture teams to prioritise journey work, support and select tooling to enable cross-product orchestration
  • Unify product, process and behavioural metrics that ensures a journey performance metrics and reporting, guiding teams on how to use data and analytics that demonstrates business value and tracks journey efficiencies 
  • Drive organisational adoption through change initiatives, communication, training and mentorship, embedding journey practices into the digital operating model

Product Excellence within ADI (AI & Digital Innovation) sits at the heart of R&D’s digital transformation. We're a compact, cross functional team of product leaders, UX strategists, analytics experts and delivery specialists working to embed a product-centric operating model across the R&D digital portfolio. Our mission is to remove friction from end to end user journeys by connecting systems, processes and people so digital solutions deliver faster, higher quality business outcomes.

You'll work alongside R&D business owners, digital product leads, process transformation teams and senior leaders to define standards, governance and measurable practices for journey management. Day to day, the team blends strategic thinking with hands on delivery: designing journey architectures, enabling tooling and metrics, piloting improvements, and scaling proven approaches across products and sites. The environment is collaborative and fast paced, with a strong emphasis on data driven decisions, change leadership and measurable impact—ideal if you enjoy influencing organisational design and driving cross product adoption of new ways of working.

 

Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with the following qualifications:

  • Degree in a related field (Bachelor; Master preferred) with 8+ years driving user-centric product development in agile environments. Experience from a regulated industry is highly desirable 
  • Proven track record in journey strategy, service or strategic design, or customer experience across complex system landscapes
  • Strong ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights and compelling narratives
  • Experience in organisational design and digital operating models, aligning IT, product teams and business units on transformation initiatives
  • Successful stakeholder orchestration in global, highly regulated environments, with excellent communication and co creation skills
