Are you passionate about transforming the Medical Affairs frontline and empowering medical frontliners to deliver impactful, data-driven engagements, and build partnerships? Do you thrive on driving excellence, inspiring change, and translating aspirations into affiliate execution?
If so, this is your opportunity to make a real difference.

Your new role

As a Director, Medical Frontline Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the way Regional Medical Advisors/Medical Science Liaisons operate across the Novo Nordisk affiliates in Europe and Canada (EUCAN). You will operationalize strategies to action for the medical frontline, lead cross-functional initiatives, and drive best-in-class ways of working that enable our field medical affairs teams to deliver the most possible impact.

This is a highly independent role where you’ll act as a strategic advisor, change leader, and data-driven decision-maker – ensuring that Medical Affairs frontline excellence is consistently embedded across EUCAN affiliates.

Among your key responsibilities you will find

  • Strengthening Medical Affairs frontline ways of working: Define and implement strategic priorities for Medical Affairs frontline excellence, aiming at identifying and scaling the most impactful ways of working.
  • Driving CRM excellence: Champion better CRM usage across EUCAN affiliates to improve data quality, thereby enabling more useful analytics and insight-driven decision-making.
  • Translating strategy into action: Convert EUCAN Medical Affairs objectives into clear, actionable Medical Affairs frontline plans – ensuring alignment, tracking, and follow-up.
  • Leveraging insights cross-functionally: Create structured processes for capturing and utilizing medical insights captured from frontline engagements with healthcare professionals to inform both medical and commercial strategies.
  • Building capabilities: Identify skill gaps across affiliates, and design and drive capability-building initiatives to strengthen Medical Affairs frontline performance.
  • Promoting a data-driven culture: Foster a culture and way of working that leverage data and analytics to inform conversations about performance improvement.
  • Acting as a sparring partner: Challenge constructively, share best practices, and act as a trusted advisor to affiliates and leaders within Medical Affairs.

Your new department

You will be part of the Customer Engagement department within Medical & Marketing in the EUCAN Regional Office, where we are dedicated to fostering meaningful interactions with healthcare professionals. Our team thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, working collaboratively to drive impactful commercial and medical engagement. You’ll join a diverse and innovative team committed to making a difference in the lives of patients worldwide.

Your skills & qualifications

You are a visionary Medical Affairs professional with the ability to turn strategy into execution and data into insight. You inspire others through your ability to lead change and create impact across complex, cross-functional networks.

You’ll succeed in this role if you have:

  • M.D., Ph.D., or M.Sc. in a relevant scientific field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Medical Affairs, including 3–5 years in field Medical Affairs or medical excellence roles.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and implementing change management between regional and affiliate levels.
  • Strong understanding of the frontline in Medical Affairs (e.g. RMAs/MSLs) and Medical Affairs business drivers in the cardiometabolic therapeutic area.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced analytical, communication, and project management capabilities.
