The position 
As Scientific Integration Project Lead, your primary role is to actualize Novo Nordisk’s externalization agenda by driving pipeline impact from alliances, research collaborations, and business development activities. 
 
Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Acting as subject matter expert in assessments of external innovation within the area of cardiovascular and renal diseases
  • Leading research activities within drug discovery projects run in external alliances
  • Developing detailed work plans and timelines
  • Conducting risk analysis and monitoring project progress
  • Providing project analyses and reports to management
  • Driving initiatives across functions and units  

Work location: either Denmark (Måløv) or the UK (London). 
 
Qualifications 
To be successful in this role, we imagine you: 

  • Hold a PhD in Physiology, Pharmacology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field
  • Have a proven scientific track record within the area of cardiovascular and renal disease research
  • Bring a minimum of 6 years’ experience in translational drug discovery and leading cross-functional project teams
  • Possess extensive expertise in designing and interpreting experimental data
  • Experience working with different modalities is an advantage 
     

As a person, you are proactive in identifying and resolving project challenges, and skilled at delivering detailed analyses and reports. You collaborate effectively across functions and research units, and excel at communicating project goals and progress to stakeholders.  
 
About the department 
The position is anchored in the Internal & External Projects department, part of the Cardiovascular & Renal Disease Therapy Area within Research & Early Development. We are fully dedicated to advancing a diversified portfolio of potential novel treatment options for patients living with cardiometabolic diseases into clinical testing.
