The Position

As Manager for the Support team in Chemistry Pilot Plant, you will lead a team of approx. 14 dedicated and competent colleagues (Pilot Scientists & Pilot Technicians), who are responsible for securing equipment operation and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliance in pilot facility. Furthermore, the team handle deviations, change requests and are highly involved in larger and smaller optimisation projects across the department.  

 

Your main tasks will be:

  • Lead with Purpose: Manage team performance while ensuring timely delivery of activities, ensuring a stable pilot facility support and efficient operation
  • Collaborate Across Borders: Work proactively with diverse stakeholders, from the pilot production teams in the department to technical and IT support as well as QA, fostering strong relationships and open communication
  • Empower Your Team: Focus on the personal and professional development of your team members, nurturing their growth through an empowering work culture
  • Project Progress: Support and lead Project Leads in technical investment projects

 

As Manager you will be part of the leadership team, which is composed of 1 Director, 3 Managers and 1 administrative coordinator that meets frequently, support each other, and routinely use each other as sparring partners.

 

Qualifications

  • Have a MSc within chemistry, biotechnology or other relevant area
  • Experience from the pharma industry and knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) is preferred.
  • Leadership experience and a natural desire to engage, develop and empower people
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both internal and external collaboration partners
  • Good technical insight and interest in qualification/validation requirements is preferable
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.

As part of the Novo Nordisk CMC & Product Supply (CMC&PS) organisation, the CMC Product & Process Development (CMC) area makes a real difference for patients by transforming drug candidates into life-changing treatments. We take molecules from research to market by developing commercial manufacturing processes and technologies, producing and shipping high-quality products to all of Novo Nordisk’s clinical trials globally, and compiling essential scientific documentation for regulatory submissions. The CMC Chemistry Pilot Plants department is organised within the CMC API Pilots area that support Novo Nordisk’s important strategic projects within our synthetic platform. We are located in Bagsværd with approx. 50 employees divided into 3 teams, 1 facility (with 4 production rooms).
