The position
As a Project Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and execution of development projects across various therapy areas. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, planning, and driving key activities for our development projects. This position offers ample opportunities for personal and leadership development. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Managing the full lifecycle of development projects and cross-therapy area initiatives.
• Ensuring project governance in alignment with the Project Vice President (PVP) and Cor-porate Project Vice President (CPVP).
• Facilitating Project Team meetings and cross-functional portfolio workshops.
• Shaping and recommending strategic development options to relevant governance bod-ies.
• Communicating and negotiating effectively with global stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, to ensure project progression.
• Tracking, reporting, and communicating project activity progress to the global project team and governance bodies.
• Developing high-performance project teams and mentoring individual team members to enhance their skills and career growth.
This position is based in Søborg, Denmark, with a hybrid work model blending home office and on-site work. Travel activities are expected to constitute 4-6 trips annually. We welcome interna-tional applicants and offer relocation support if needed.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
• Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in medical, biological, pharmaceutical, or other life sciences fields.
• In-depth experience in pharmaceutical drug development is a essential; experience in the areas of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease (CBD) is considered an advantage.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams, including leading teams and managing key activities with a cross-functional scope.
• Strong knowledge of product development, lifecycle, and regulations, with excellent ana-lytical skills and proven ability to build professional networks.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

About the department
Our team consists of over 100 professionals specializing in project management and medical and scientific functions. We play a crucial role in advancing our growing portfolio focused on cardi-ometabolic diseases. Our projects encompass the entire development journey, from initial hu-man testing in Phase 1 and dose-finding studies in Phase 2, through efficacy trials in Phase 3, and extending to new indications and safety studies in Phase 4.
The Cardiometabolic team is part of Clinical Development & Project Leadership within our Devel-opment organization, situated in the Copenhagen area of Denmark.
