You will be part of the Production Engineering and Facilities team at our Koriyama Factory in Fukushima. Our mission is to ensure that facility, building, and Material Handling Systems are always ready to support production. The department is dedicated to stabilising and improving these systems, implementing energy-saving activities, and collaborating closely with stakeholders within the Koriyama plant and NNAS. We also oversee the installation and validation of air conditioning equipment in external warehouses. The atmosphere is dynamic, collaborative, and focused on continuous improvement to support our production goals.

 

The position
As a Senior Facility Professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our facilities, buildings, and material handling systems (MHS) are always ready to support production. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Inspect buildings, facilities, and material handling systems, focusing on energy-efficient part replacements.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers and vendors to resolve technical issues and provide on-site support as needed.
  • Oversee regular maintenance activities (daily, monthly, quarterly) according to planned schedules.
  • Procure and manage goods and repair/maintenance services from external vendors.
  • Prepare and update utility system validation documentation for new or modified processes, ensuring compliance with local and global procedures.

 

Qualifications

  • University graduate, preferably with a degree in engineering or a related field.
  • More than 10 years of experience in facility-related work.
  • Proficient in both English and Japanese; English conversation skills required.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities, with a focus on ownership and leadership.
  • Proactive, adaptable to change, self-motivated, and a self-starter, with a mindset oriented towards continuous improvement (kaizen) and innovation.
