About the Department
The Strategy & Rare Disease (STARS) organization drives the long-term strategic direction of Novo Nordisk Inc. (NNI)/North America Operations (NAO) and leads all US commercial efforts for Novo Nordisk’s Rare Disease portfolio. The mandate of STARS is to facilitate the development and to coordinate the execution of the long-term strategy, defining a sustainable business model in US beyond a 5-year time horizon. This department serves as the insiders of the US market when informing and help shaping upstream decisions around future investments and assets. The Rare Disease portfolio includes products in the hemophilia and growth disorders therapeutic areas, new products in the pipeline, and products acquired through business development efforts in existing and new areas. The STARS team collaborates and partners with groups across NAO, Research & Early Development, Development, innovation hubs across NN, other affiliates, and global. The Position
The Rare Disease Marketing Operations Lead is responsible for assisting the Rare Disease Commercial Strategy & Marketing Head in developing, communicating, and executing key strategic initiatives across the portfolio. The position serves as a strategist, consultant and implementer, planning and directing key marketing operational, financial, and administrative activities.
This role is also responsible for ensuring preparedness for all executive engagements and leads key strategic initiatives ensuring alignment with BU goals, as well as managing internal marketing communications. They will develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for agency management, lead portfolio promotional materials management and drive cycle planning and operations. This role includes overseeing the marketing materials planning and review process, management of internal agency's operations, and facilitation of POA meetings. The leader will set clear goals and drive continuous improvement and innovation. This role actively participates as a member of the marketing leadership team in shaping strategy, structure, culture and engagement.
Relationships
Reports to the Rare Disease Commercial Strategy & Marketing Head and serves as a key member and contributor to the RD Marketing Leadership Team. This position interacts with the marketing leaders and works closely with key stakeholders across Rare Disease and extended stakeholders. Examples include Rare Disease Commercial Strategy & Marketing, Strategy & Planning, Hemoglobinopathies, Field Sales, Strategic Partnerships & Engagement, Commercial Excellence and Innovation, Customer Experience and Marketing Enablement, Employee Experience, Business and Commercial Excellence, Ecosystem and Enterprise Influence, CMR, Communications, MAPA and Finance. External relationships include interactions with various vendors and consultants based on the needs of special projects or implementation of new programs. Provide oversight for cross-organizational working groups to ensure alignment.

Qualifications
The base compensation range for this position is $ 148,290 to $ 259,510. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.
Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
