You will be a part of the People & Organization (P&O) team and will be directly reporting to the P&O Director. You will work closely with the other Training & Development Manager in the team and collaborate with various business units, internal stakeholders, and external partners to design and execute training strategies that drive business success.

 

The position
As a Training & Development Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Assess and identify training needs by conducting training needs assessments (TNAs), analyzing employee skill gaps, and collaborating with department heads in Sales, Marketing, and Medical. You will also engage in field visits and discussions with regional sales managers and key accounts managers to stay informed about market conditions and business requirements.
  • Develop and implement training programs aligned with business objectives, including both global and local learning initiatives such as the Novo Nordisk Way of Selling, off-the-job skills training, on-the-job coaching, and leadership development workshops. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content.
  • Deliver and evaluate training effectiveness by facilitating workshops, development sessions, and onboarding programs while ensuring continuous improvement through structured feedback collection, performance metrics, and post-training evaluations. You will also support line managers in reinforcing learning through coaching and mentorship.
  • Act as a center of expertise for capability development, serving as the primary contact for functional training needs and providing guidance on learning strategies. You will stay updated on industry best practices, new training methodologies, and technological advancements to continuously enhance the company’s training offerings.

 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Pharma, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in training, learning & development, or capability building, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Multinational experience is preferred.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with experience in training design, delivery, and assessment.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with stakeholders, and manage external partners such as HCPs, vendors, trainers, and agencies.
  • A proactive, innovative, and adaptable mindset, with a passion for continuous learning and talent development. Exhibiting a curious approach to problem-solving is highly valued
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships and manage stakeholders effectively.
