About the Global Tax Graduate Programme

Fast-track to success! This full-time position offers you the chance to experience three exciting jobs in just two years. You will work in various functions across our global tax organisation, with the opportunity of a fast-learning track in different areas and geographic locations - ensuring a strong tax toolbox, including knowledge of digital tools, and a holistic understanding of Novo Nordisk and the pharmaceutical industry.

As you’ll be working towards an ambitious career, we will provide you with:

  • Accelerated personal and professional development through one-on-one sparring with a senior mentor assigned to you from day one and an extensive, custom-built training programme.
  • International experience by working abroad for at least eight months in one of our affiliates (e.g., USA, Denmark, Zurich etc.).

Throughout the programme you will gain hands-on experience with transforming data into business insights, with major learnings in the following areas:

1.    Tax Compliance in Pharma: Acquire knowledge of international tax, build Tax Technical understanding, exposure to other business functions

2.    Risk mitigation and reporting:  Risk assessment and methodology experience, mitigation and controls implementation, partnering to drive business value

3.    Digital Processes and Capabilities: Acquire and automation of processes, using technology to improve efficiency, communication, culture and branding

For positions starting in 1 September 2026, we are looking for candidates with:

  • A recent Master’s degree from 2025 or 2026, demonstrating above-average academic achievements within tax, law, economics, accounting or similar
  • No more than 1 year of full-time work experience between or after completing a Master’s degree
  • International experience, for example from studying abroad, working or volunteering
  • Relevant work experience from internships, student jobs, or extracurricular activities, with a maximum of 1 year of full-time work experience between or after completing your Master's degree
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English
  • Willingness to relocate globally

No, our corporate language is English, so speaking Danish is definitely not a requirement. There may be local language requirements for some International Operations (IO) tracks.

Yes, as long as you plan to graduate before the start of the Graduate programme. It is also accepted if you have not received your official graduate diploma before starting in the Graduate Programme, as long as you have finished your studies and are just waiting for the official papers.

This position is designed as an entry-level role, and while many graduates join the program directly after their studies, we also consider candidates with up to one year of post-graduate experience.

Previous pharmaceutical work experience is not a requirement to apply for the programme.

For the Global tracks you will be employed by our HQ organisation and most of the positions will start in Denmark, except for Global Tax, where you will commence your rotations in either Denmark, US or in one of our International Operations locations globally.

For the International Operations tracks you will be employed in one of our specified hiring countries for 2026, where you will undertake your first rotation.

Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be offered a position in Novo Nordisk, therefore full mobility and flexibility is required as the location is not pre-determined.
