The position

Oral drug delivery is a key component of our company’s strategy, and your role as Principal Scientist is important for us to progress. Your main objective will be to formulate therapeutic proteins and peptides into oral solid dosage forms and developing innovative oral drug delivery systems. Innovation and scientific leadership are key parts of your role, working across functions and people to develop both our portfolio and our organisation. Working alongside talented colleagues from all over the world, you will share ideas and inspiration across different scientific areas. Acting as mentor for senior colleagues and PhD students within field of expertise, is an integrated part of the role too.

As a principal scientist you will furthermore:

  • Drive innovative research with a highly business strategic fit, global mindset and cross-functional focus
  • Interpret internal or external business issues and solutions as well as recommend solutions and best practices
  • Coordinate tasks and manage projects of various kinds
  • Provide strong pharmaceutical industry knowledge and understanding

 

Qualifications

You are driven by the basic tenet of science – to take on something that people think can’t be done, and to go way beyond where we are today. You apply your creativity to find solutions to the scientific challenges you encounter during your research, and you share knowledge and experience freely with other scientists, lab technicians and researchers to further our common cause.

You hold a relevant PhD degree in Life Sciences (pharmaceutical sciences or other relevant discipline) and have minimum 7-8 years of pharmaceutical experience, including minimum 2-3 years in a relevant, innovative role in early stage research.

 

Furthermore, key qualifications are:

  • Proven track record driving innovation within oral drug delivery.
  • Being recognized as an expert within tablet formulation and other solid dosage forms and having a deep understanding of tablet manufacturing and related processes
  • As a solid dosage forms expert with significant experience on drug delivery technologies, you have in-depth expertise in characterisation and analysis of solid dosage forms
  • High-level insight into the GI-tract physiology
  • Business understanding and cross functional stakeholder management experience

At Oral Formulation Research in Måløv, Denmark, you’ll join an international, ambitious and collaborative early research team.
