About the department
In the Supply Chain Analytics department, you will be working with a variety of Supply Chain data across Novo Nordisk as a multinational company with many manufacturing sites around the world. The data is collected and transformed into daily insights about the Supply Chain that enable employees at all levels to make evidence based decisions.

With the rapid advancement within data analytics, we are looking for an Intern that has a deep understanding of data analytics. Our ambition is to use the latest techniques and software to draw greater insights of our business and make predictions to guide decision making and understanding of our Supply Chain.

The position
You will support our journey towards the next level of analytics by creating and improving our reporting and how we apply analytics. Among other tasks, you will build and test the next generation of Business Intelligence and visualisation tools with the possibility of adding more advanced analytical techniques and forecasting models. In addition, you will assist weekly operation of performance matrices, various projects and support with ad-hoc data-related tasks.
  • Internship period: 4-6 months
  • Working hours: 37 hours per week
  • Start date: 1 February 2018
  • Internships are remunerated, if your educational track allows
  • A Danish full time work permit is required
Qualifications
You are currently studying a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer/Data Science, Data Engineering or similar field with a focus on quantitative methods, and you want to apply theory in practice. General knowledge of Supply Chain and key methodologies are preferred.

An understanding of data preparation techniques is necessary and knowledge of more advanced visualisation or data analytics is preferred.

We expect candidates to be good at what they are doing and have a burning desire to learn new things. You listen, take initiative and thrive in a busy and diverse environment. Finally, you must have a strong work ethic, with the ability to manage several tasks and, of course, a sense of humour is a plus.

Fluency in both oral and written English required and local language skill is a plus.
