Help shape the future of pharmaceutical manufacturing by bringing smarter technologies, data driven solutions, and continuous improvement into everyday production.

Across three eight month rotations in Denmark and internationally, you will work with experts to improve processes, strengthen manufacturing performance, and contribute to innovation that supports patients worldwide.

We welcome applicants from all over the world to apply for the Manufacturing Technology track.

The Manufacturing Technology Graduate Programme offers three eight-month rotations across our production sites in Denmark and internationally. You will gain a thorough understanding of our pharmaceutical manufacturing, work closely with different technologies, and explore how their capabilities can be used to improve manufacturing.

Manufacturing Technology is about optimising and improving production. From day one, you will be encouraged to ask questions, challenge assumptions, experiment, and turn ideas into impact while learning from experienced colleagues. You will contribute across different stages of a project’s life cycle, from development and testing to implementation and continuous improvement.

The Manufacturing Technology Graduate Programme is designed to accelerate your development by giving you breadth, responsibility, and hands-on experience early in your career.

Across three rotations, including an international rotation, you will build a broad understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing and how different parts of the manufacturing area work together. You will gain experience in production, lean manufacturing, manufacturing innovation, data driven improvement, and implementation of new technology.

You will take on real manufacturing challenges and gradually increase your level of responsibility. Through your rotations, you will build a broad technical and professional skill set by contributing to projects focused on production improvement, ramp up, optimisation, and project execution.

Along the way, experienced specialists, leaders, and mentors will support your professional development. Working with production teams and stakeholders across different sites will help you build a strong international network within manufacturing and Novo.

A Manufacturing Technology Graduate’s typical journey

During the first rotation, you might join a production or shop floor team in Denmark. Here, you could learn about pharmaceutical manufacturing first-hand, apply Lean Manufacturing principles, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, or process stability.

For the second rotation, you might move to an international production site. Working in a new environment will give you insight into local operations and the interaction between global standards and site specific needs.

In the final rotation, you could work with Manufacturing Science and Technology, manufacturing development, or a project execution team. You might contribute to an innovation, optimisation, or ramp up project, using the knowledge from your earlier rotations to help develop and implement a solution.

Previous pharmaceutical work experience is not a requirement to apply for the programme.
