This role invites you onboard in Digital, Data & IT in Novo Nordisk (DD&IT); the business partner that supports digital transformation and innovation in all parts of Novo. It's a global community with +2100 colleagues worldwide, driving tasks with a twist of digital, data and IT together with the business.
In Novo Nordisk, we see data as a high-value strategic asset. We believe that intelligent, creative use of vast amounts of connected data can generate new kinds of value, new levels of patient-centricity, and much faster reactions to changing circumstances and new know-how. We want to unlock our data's full potential and to help us on that mission; we have the Data Office driving the Global Data Strategy. The Data Office designs and builds the new mindsets, governance frameworks, data enablement procedures and training programs needed to implement these breakthrough opportunities throughout our organisation. Now it's rollout time.
We are looking for Data Engineers to improve data availability and validation across the organisation by acting as a liaison between data science and IT teams.
We are typically looking for candidates with a bachelor's or master's degree in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Robotics, Data Science or another relevant field. On top of that, we look for candidates with years of hands-on experience with a cloud-based data lake and big data technologies. Hands-on experience often means that candidates have to be familiar with most of the following technologies: SQL, Python, Linux, CI/CD, AWS (or other cloud solutions) as well as DevOps. In addition, some agile experience from large companies is a plus. The amount of education and experience required varies depending on the job level.
Besides being skilful in working with data, we typically acknowledge candidates who are naturally curious and have a sincere interest in exploring new technologies. Finally, we look for candidates who can build good relations with colleagues and stakeholders to share best practices. Hence, fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
