As process scientists and engineers, our work is the last step in the value chain before our treatments reach the patient. For this reason, our mission to drive change for patients living with diabetes and other serious chronic diseases is at the heart of everything we do – we're constantly striving to improve our processes, enabling us to transform lives around the world.

We work in and inspiring environment, focused on continuous improvement and delivering the highest quality to patients. We push boundaries to ensure we are always producing at our best. Working in a highly regulated environment, this can sometimes be a challenge, but it motivates us to think out of the box – knowing that our colleagues and managers will support us.

Continuous improvement is not just our philosophy when it comes to our production processes, though. It is also our stance on people development. Here you’ll have endless opportunities for personal and professional development across the business, ensuring that your ambition is always supported and you’re always able to reach your potential.

Process scientists and engineers work across our production sites to ensure high-quality production processes, addressing fixes to processes where needed and considering how processes might be improved or simplified.

We have many different kinds of process scientist and engineers working across the business, and thus there is no one set profile we look for. But as a process scientist or engineers, you would likely work with the below, splitting time between working within the production environment and within an office setting

  • Supporting the operators in the production when needed. Challenges with our processes may arise and together with the technical support team, we learn and solve problems while ensuring product quality
  • Writing documentation to ensure product quality, including deviations, changes, and SOPs
  • Implementing new requirements and improvements to our processes
  • Validation of processes.

To be a successful process scientist or engineer, you should have a relevant education at B.Sc. or M.Sc. level, probably within engineering, pharmacy, or natural sciences. It is an advantage, if you have experience from a GMP-regulated production environment.

Beyond this, though, you should be an action-oriented person with the curiosity to learn and ultimately improve upon our processes. Working in a highly regulated environment – the only one industry which is sticker than our own and this is nuclear submarines – you need to be a born problem solver, having the patience and tenacity to challenge and make improvements within this framework, rather than feeling hindered by it.

At Novo Nordisk Product Supply, we bring together our different mindsets and expertise from across the globe, making anything possible.

We work together even when we're not in the same room, across oceans and borders and communication lines. And brilliant things happen when we connect.

From an observation on the shopfloor or a single line of code. From new technologies to the can-do spirit we’ve always had, we’re revolutionizing the way we carry out production, more riving change to help more patients live better lives.

But everything we accomplish has to start somewhere. It starts with a willingness to bet on our ideas, take bold action and push for innovations and solutions.

At Novo Nordisk Product Supply, It all starts with courage.
