All children and young people deserve time, space and support to play. Yet around the world, opportunities for active play are shrinking. Children and young people are missing out on the playful, active moments that help them learn, develop, connect and stay healthy.
The Active Play Challenge, created by Novo Nordisk, Arup and RMIT University, in partnership with Save the Children, Right To Play and ISCA is designed to change that. The early years category is supported by the Van Leer Foundation.
We are inviting organisations around the world to submit innovative, practical solutions that make active play more accessible, inclusive and equitable for children and young people.
We’re looking for initiatives that support people aged 0 –25 years, with ideas that can be tested and scaled in communities around the world. Selected winners will receive funding and technical support to design, pilot, and scale their initiatives.
