In order to properly investigate the suspected counterfeit product it is important to send a product sample to Novo Nordisk in your country. We will advise on how to do this and arrange for you to have a free replacement product.
Counterfeit products represent a public health risk because the content and the effect in the body is unknown. Novo Nordisk takes all reports of suspected counterfeits seriously, and is actively engaged in efforts to combat counterfeiting in order to protect the health and safety of patients and worldwide public health.
To ensure your health, only use medicine with a prescription from your doctor. Never buy medicine outside the legal supply chain. Medicine bought outside the legal supply chain – e.g. non-authorised internet sites – could be counterfeit.

Counterfeit drugs can be found worldwide, the problem is increasing and more frequent in developing countries.
The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that while the incidence of counterfeit drugs is less than 1% in developed countries, a much higher percentage of the medicines in some developing countries may be counterfeit. If you suspect that a Novo Nordisk product has been counterfeited, you should immediately report it to your pharmacy, health care provider and directly to Novo Nordisk as described above. Please remember to save the product so it can be tested.
