What's the difference between Global and International Operations (IO)?

While all of our programmes offer the chance to explore the world and be stationed in new and interesting places, our Global positions keep a focus on operations in our HQ in Denmark while IO positions offer graduates the opportunity to return to our affiliate offices in their home countries once their rotations end.

Our IO positions also have specific requirements for the countries in which they're based while Global positions are open to any and all nationalities.

You can work with global business projects in Novo Nordisk through a wide range of different and exciting roles and within a number of diverse teams and functions – but no matter what, you will work with people who all share the same commitment to excellence and to drive the continued success of Novo Nordisk.

The Global Business Graduate Programme offers rotational opportunities across Novo Nordisk in areas such as business development, commercial strategy, digital strategy, supply chain, strategic R&D, corporate communication or public affairs.

During the Business graduate program, you will receive training and gain knowledge and invaluable international experience leading to both professional and personal development. Furthermore, you will work with senior managers and build an international network of world-class colleagues, establishing yourself as one of tomorrow’s key people in business at Novo Nordisk.

We’ve designed the program so that, following its successful completion, you will be equipped with the necessary skills and experience to become a valued and promising part of our company in your home country.

For the positions starting in September 2023, we were looking for candidates with:

  • A recent master’s degree from 2022 or 2023 in a relevant field, for example within strategy, economics, management, international business, IT, digitalisation, or innovation
  • International experience, for example from studying a full semester abroad, working or volunteering
  • Relevant work experience or extracurricular activities obtained next to your studies
  • Above average academic achievements
  • Team-player attitude, excellent communication skills, high drive and an eagerness to learn
  • Fluent spoken and written English

Global Marketing provides early business input to discovery projects and prepares long-term marketing strategies. We also prepare the markets for product launches and ensure optimal execution of marketing strategies locally. We are responsible for managing our global key opinion leader relationships successfully and our vision is to be the best marketing team in the global pharmaceutical industry and a key contributor to value creation in Novo Nordisk.

During the 2-year programme you will undertake three challenging and exciting rotations of 8-months duration within marketing and sales, 1 rotation our corporate headquarters in Denmark and 2 rotations in our global offices. You will gain experience working as a fully-fledged member of the teams and receive leadership and teamwork training and development.

Throughout the programme you will gain hands-on experience with global and local pharmaceutical marketing and sales challenges and product pre-launch, launch and life-cycle processes. You will work with senior managers and build an international network of world-class colleagues, establishing yourself as one of tomorrow’s key people in marketing at Novo Nordisk.

For the positions starting in September 2023, we were looking for candidates with:

  • A recent master’s degree in a relevant field, for example within commercial strategy, marketing, branding, product management or business – and above average academic achievements
  • International experience
  • Relevant work experience or extracurricular activities obtained next to your studies
  • International mind-set and ability to adapt quickly to change
  • Team-player mind-set, excellent communication skills, high drive and an eagerness to learn
  • International driver’s license
  •  Professional fluency in English and someone who is globally mobile

When you join the Global Market Access team, you will contribute to ensuring patients have access to our life-changing medicines on terms that are sustainable both for our company and for society. Health economics and value communication, pricing analytics, payer engagement, collaboration and reimbursement submissions are just a few of the tasks we perform in this high growth area.

Market  access at Novo Nordisk is fully integrated across the value chain from early pipeline and launch assets, while our regional and country level colleagues drive access activities for in-market brands.

The Global Market Access Graduate Programme has been designed to develop top talents to become future leaders and specialists within this area.

  • International experience
  • Relevant work experience or extracurricular activities obtained next to your studies
  •  International mind-set and ability to adapt quickly to change
  • Team-player attitude, excellent communication skills, high drive and an eagerness to learn
  • Professional fluency in English and someone who are globally mobile
