Less painful to inject
The hGH cartridges used with the NordiPen® device contain histidine and phenol – the least painful buffer and preservative composition – resulting in less injection pain than other growth hormone products.3
Preservatives
It has been proven that growth hormone formulations with m-cresol are more painful than formulations with benzyl alcohol, and there is no difference between formulations with benzyl alcohol and formulations with phenol.3
Buffers
Injection with histidine-containing solvent has been shown to be less painful than citrate-buffered solvents.3
