Diabetes film wins two International Gold Film awards
On World Diabetes Day 2008, the World Diabetes Day Freeze film played an important role in driving diabetes awareness, showing how diabetes can hit anybody at any time. Now the film, which can be seen on YouTube, has received two international Gold film awards for its ability to inspire and motivate. This happened Wednesday night in Hamburg at the annual WorldMediaFestival Awards Gala.
WorldMediaFestival is a global competition for modern media with more than 550 participating films from 30 countries. Besides winning a Gold award in the category ‘Public Relations: Health’, the film also received the ‘Infofilm International Special Award’ for being the best among all submitted films to “inspire and motivate an international audience”.
“World Diabetes Day is about making people aware of and care about diabetes, and with the film we tried to reach out to people in a new way. Therefore we are very proud of this recognition, and the film will certainly also be used on World Diabetes Day 2009,” says Søren Møgelvang Nielsen, who is Project Manager in Corporate Brand Public Relations. The film, which is directed by Josh Nussbaum, is produced in collaboration with Adtomic A/S and Attention Film.
