Novo Nordisk rated no 1 in 'Best Places to Work in New Jersey'

- May 2007

Up against more than 200 other companies, Novo Nordisk in the US was named this year’s ‘Best Place to Work in New Jersey’.

Novo Nordisk’s affiliate in the US returned to the 2007 top ranking it held in 2005 based on the company's dedication to employees' growth and quality of life.

What earned Novo Nordisk this prestigious award was the overwhelmingly positive feedback from employees. They point to recognition for accomplishments, a belief that ‘we are all one team’ and cooperation throughout the organisation as the outstanding qualities held by Novo Nordisk as a place of work.

“These comments also offer a testament to the passion and commitment of the people who make Novo Nordisk a ‘Best Place to Work’,” says Jeff Frazier, vice president of Human Resources. President of Novo Nordisk in the US, Martin Soeters, is equally pleased: “Novo Nordisk employees are passionate and are making a significant impact in the lives of patients, through the many programmes of our changing diabetes initiative,” he says. Novo Nordisk employs almost 700 people in New Jersey at its North American headquarters in Princeton and research facility in North Brunswick and almost 4,000 across the U.S.

The US award was given by NJBIZ magazine and The Best Companies Group. Among its recent accolades, Novo Nordisk was also named a "Global Superstar" in a Forbes magazine cover story about fast-growing and well- managed companies helping to set benchmarks in their respective industries.
