Haemophilia project launched in China
The Novo Nordisk Haemophilia Foundation has launched its first project in China.
The project ‘A world of difference to haemophilia care’ will work to improve the diagnosis and treatment of people with haemophilia throughout China. It will be supported by a donation of 302,500 euros over the next two years.

The project will create a China Haemophilia Research Center composed of six major haemophilia units in Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Anhui and Shandong. It will study the clinical diagnosis, registration and treatment of haemophilia patients in China, and will be led by Professor Wang Hongli of Shanghai Ruijin Hospital.
The project was launched by Stephen Robinson, general manager of Novo Nordisk Haemophilia Foundation, and Professor Wang Hongli during a festive ceremony on 22 September 2006 in Suzhou.
The project is the Novo Nordisk Haemophilia Foundation’s largest since it was established in 2005.
