Novo Nordisk Park in Måløv – Product development and hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
Novo Nordisk Park is located just outside Måløv, west of Copenhagen, in a scenic area with lovely views of the surrounding countryside.

Novo Nordisk Park features administration, laboratories, warehouses and light production, including pharmaceutical finished goods production.
Both research and production
Novo Nordisk Park conducts research and development of new pharmaceutical products. Novo Nordisk Park also produces hormone replacement therapy products. Most of the hormone tablets that Novo Nordisk produces for sale worldwide are created and packaged at the factory in Måløv.
The site’s research and development unit includes several laboratories as well as animal housing. The site also includes a pilot plant for developing new pharmaceutical products, and a clinical packing plant which packs a variety of tablets and sterile products.
Novo Nordisk Park has about 1,030 employees including engineers, biologists, chemists, pharmacists, laboratory assistants, pharmacologists, technicians and other specialist groups.
Families and universities are partners
At Novo Nordisk Park we value a good relationship with our community. Therefore, we actively promote various activities, e.g. a family day, where all site employees have the opportunity to invite their families to visit their workplace.
We also have open house arrangements for students from the Technical University of Denmark, the Royal Danish School of Pharmacy and other institutions of higher learning. The students are given a factory tour and introduced to our products.
Nature and the environment
Novo Nordisk Park's growth in recent years has increased traffic nearby so we have provided some company bicycles at a nearby station to encourage our employees to leave their cars at home and take the train. The program has proven a success, with all the bicycles in use every day.
We continuously work to blend Novo Nordisk Park into the lovely natural area around us. To protect the environment, we have discontinued the use of herbicides and introduced manual weeding throughout the site.
Attractive workplace
We want Novo Nordisk Park to be a safe and attractive workplace where employees want to stay.
All departments must carry out a workplace assessment at least once a year. After completing the assessment, each department then prepares an action plan, which is monitored by a health and safety representative and the department’s manager. We have also established home working stations where this is possible.
