Return Fellowships from Novo Nordisk Training and Research Programme (TRAP)
Many bright Scandinavian PhDs, PostDocs and senior scientists are doing research abroad at some of the best research institutions in the world. Novo Nordisk would like to offer these scientists the opportunity to return to Scandinavia and work at Novo Nordisk R&D facilities in Denmark. A Return Fellowship will enable the scientist to work for one to two years on a project that combines the interests of Novo Nordisk with his/her expertise.
The Return Fellows will be employed by Novo Nordisk and the company retains all rights to inventions made during the project. In the past, many Return Fellows have been very successful and have subsequently been recruited into permanent positions in our global R&D organisation.
Each Fellowship is supported by a grant of 750.000 DKK which according to individual agreements shall cover salaries from one to two years including relocation expenses. A Novo Nordisk department, a University partner or a public funding agency may contribute to financing of, and thereby possibly extending, the Return Fellowship period.
Who can apply:
Post-doctoral scientists originating in Scandinavia who are currently doing research at a top institution outside this region. Such scientists may want to join the Nordic Baltic Expats Forum , which is the on-line community of life science and biomedicine researchers, students and professionals who originate from the Nordic-Baltic Region, and currently are working or studying abroad.
How to apply:
You and a Novo Nordisk scientist (your contact person) must jointly prepare and submit an application to Novo Nordisk Corporate Research Affairs. If you do not know a contact person, Corporate Research Affairs may help you identify a scientist with relevant interests in our R&D organisation (see contact information below). Preference will be given to applications and/or scientists with a track record within Novo Nordisk’s research and technologies focus areas such as diabetes, inflammation and protein sciences.
Next deadline for applications:
17 September 2009
