Pharmaceutical Medicine Programme
Novo Nordisk is seeking talented medical doctors, who have the potential of developing into key medical experts of our company. With the Pharmaceutical Medicine Programme, Novo Nordisk offers you the opportunity to build a physician career outside the traditional public medical carrier track.
This position will commence with a two-year Pharmaceutical Medicine Programme, where you will be introduced to a variety of different departments and assignments. The aim of the programme is to develop highly qualified medical doctors with a broad understanding and hands-on experience within various functions of the company where medical competences are significantly in use.
During the programme you will experience a variety of challenging tasks and projects, and gain insight into both pharmaceutical medicine and existing cross-functional business processes within Novo Nordisk.
Challenges
Within the two-year programme you will experience three eight-month rotations in different areas of the organisation – Global Development - where focus is on clinical research activities for our compounds in development, Medical Affairs at International Marketing – with focus on medical communication and product positioning, and International Product Safety – where focus is on pharmacovigilance and risk management. You will be involved in specific projects through which you will get experience with elements such as clinical development planning of a drug candidate, global and local positioning strategies for a marketed drug, medical documentation in a new drug application, pharmacovigilance activities and clinical risk management plans. All rotations will take place at our corporate headquarters in Denmark.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for the Pharmaceutical Medicine Programme, you must hold a university degree as a medical doctor. You must have passed post-graduate internship and possess 2-3 years of documented scientific and clinical experience. You must have practical and analytical skills, and be capable of working independently while at the same time accepting a strong team focus and influence. Moreover, you should be prepared and willing to travel and work in an international arena. We expect that you are result oriented; good at setting priorities and that you have a strong personal impact and drive. Lastly, we expect you to have excellent English skills, a high proficiency in IT knowledge and appreciate that you have a good sense of humor.
