Put your talent into the lives of millions of people...

Base Camp Introduction

The Supply Chain Graduate Programme is anchored within the Product Supply business area. Product Supply employs more than 8,000 people across production sites in Denmark, United States, France, Brazil, China and Japan and is, among other things, responsible for production of all of Novo Nordisk products. In recent years, Product Supply has undergone a process of change, including delivering significant productivity improvements within key processes by implementing an extensive LEAN programme.

Novo Nordisk’s Graduate Programme in Supply Chain Management puts you on the fast track to in-depth knowledge of our value chain from sourcing to the distribution of finished goods. As a Supply Chain graduate, you’ll work on important projects and tasks in several major areas of supply chain management at a successful global corporation. As a Supply Chain Graduate you will benefit from both an individual development plan and take an active role in defining training and development activities for your team of Graduate colleagues, including a training programme in LEAN methodologies and tools.

It’s no wonder that almost all of our grads are hired on a permanent basis when they’ve finished the programme – with many now working as project managers, team leaders and LEAN consultants.

What you’ll be doing

As a Supply Chain Graduate you will have on-the-job training and gain valuable insight and skills into everything from LEAN manufacturing to strategic sourcing and regulatory requirements. With extensive guidance and encouragement from Product Supply’s management, you won’t find a more supportive graduate programme anywhere.

Recent tasks for Supply Chain graduates include:

  • Project management of projects across several continents
  • Designing and conducting LEAN workshops
  • Optimising production lines or support functions
  • Strategic sourcing of critical components
  • Quality assurance
  • Regulatory issues

Scope of the programme

The Supply Chain Graduate Programme comprises three eight-month rotations in three different areas of our supply chain. Your base will be in Denmark. You’ll complete one of your three rotations at an affiliate or production site outside Denmark, giving you the international experience today’s employers expect of recent graduates. Within each new rotation, you’ll face fresh challenges and acquire new knowledge and skills.

Rotation details

As a Supply Chain Graduate, you will be working on specific projects across several areas within Product Supply in both Denmark and at our production facilities abroad. You will be doing three rotations of eight months each and spend one of these outside Denmark. At the end of the programme, you will have gained extensive knowledge of our supply chain in several of the following areas: sourcing, production, LEAN protocols, logistics and support functions. Each graduate follows an ambitious individual development plan consisting of common and individual courses.
