Looking for a marketing career that makes a difference to people’s lives?

Novo Nordisk’s Graduate Programme in International Marketing gives you the chance of a lifetime to turn your schooling into experience in the marketplace. And it isn’t just any marketplace: as a Novo Nordisk graduate, you’ll be helping to defeat diabetes and making a difference in people’s lives.

The programme offers a challenging workday, plenty of on-the-job training, and in-depth experience with global marketing throughout the Novo Nordisk value chain. And all the while, you’ll be building your international network at one of the world’s best-performing pharmaceutical companies.

It’s no wonder most of our graduates are hired on a permanent basis when they’ve finished their rotations – and now hold positions ranging from international product manager to regional marketing director.

What you’ll be doing

As an International Marketing Graduate, you’ll gain experience working in a broad range of areas, including:

  • Strategy development and implementation
  • Product positioning and branding strategy
  • Conference exhibitions and symposia
  • Market research and analysis
  • Pricing strategy
  • Product launch logistics
  • Packaging and marketing material
  • Promotional material and communication

Scope of the programme

The International Marketing Graduate Programme includes three eight-month rotations – two in either Denmark or Zurich and one in an affiliate marketing department.

Once you’ve finished the programme, you’ll spend eight more months as a sales rep at one of our affiliates before joining the International Marketing department in Denmark or Zurich as an international product manager.

Requirements

To join the IM programme, you’ll need a Master’s degree in business, international experience and, preferably, relevant work experience. You need to be performance-oriented, outgoing and enthusiastic. You’ll also need a strategic and analytical mindset. And at the cutting-edge of a highly innovative industry, you’ll need to be able to learn fast and communicate your great ideas well.

The application deadline was 17 February 2008. Next graduate recruitment will start early 2009.
