Management development programme

If you have ambitions of becoming a department manager at Novo Nordisk, we will help you on your way from the very start.

You will be given goals supported by the in-house development programme: the “New Managers Programme”. We do not believe in a ’swim or sink’ approach to management, so the main purpose of the programme is to ease your transition from being a functional expert to achieving goals through others. All newly appointed department managers must complete the programme.

Against the backdrop of our leadership philosophy - Novo Nordisk Way of Management - participants develop a rounded view of their new role and bring back practical management tools to their teams.

Working with peers and facilitators, the participants acquire competencies within coaching, constructive feedback and appraisals, delegation, situational leadership and building winning teams. The programme consists of two modules.

Delegates work on an on-the-job project between modules, and they are expected to use tools from the programme to enhance their leadership effectiveness and creating business results. At the second module participants present their projects which are challenged by peers and an experienced manager from Novo Nordisk.
