Novo Nordisk provides financial support for activities lead by organisations that share our goal to reduce the burden of chronic diseases for patients.

Within our therapy areas of interest1, Novo Nordisk aims to support initiatives that promote:

  • Prevention: Refers to activities that enable & empower individuals and communities to choose healthy behaviours that reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases and other morbidities
  • Research: Involves activities and projects that seek solutions to advance understanding of risk factors, diagnosis and disease progression
  • Advocacy: Includes activities and projects that advocate for better patient care and advance healthcare on the public agenda
  • Medical Education: Consists of activities which develop or evolve the knowledge and skills that healthcare providers use to provide care for patients or educate the profession
  • Care Optimisation: Refers to activities to promote the uptake of research findings to improve and personalise options to diagnose, treat and manage the disease
  • Congress & Scientific Meetings: Includes scientific and commercial participation in global congresses and scientific meetings in order to strengthen knowledge and awareness of disease and treatment options

Activities that do not fall in any of these categories may still be supported based on alignment with Novo Nordisk strategy and needs assessment.

  • Request submitted less than 45 days prior to the activity start date
  • Recipient who is an individual
  • Political organisations
  • Organisations that discriminate against race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity
  • Recipients who have failed to submit required program reconciliations for previously supported programs
  • Previous recipients who have failed to adhere to industry guidelines and regulations

The activity for which support is being sought possess a global outreach and is specifically tailored to target a worldwide audience. The intended initiative is designed to transcend geographical boundaries and resonates with individuals across various regions, cultures, and nations. This global focus underscores the intention to impact and engage with a diverse, international audience or communities, reflecting a commitment to addressing issues or delivering content on a global scale.

The activity for which support is sought emphasise a local outreach and is designed to engage and benefit a targeted audience or community within a country/region . The intended initiative is designed to address local needs, fostering community connections and/or resonate with local individuals within a geographic area.
