FAQ

What should I do if no insulin appears at the needle tip when I check the insulin flow (prime)?

The needle may be blocked. Screw on a new needle and check the insulin flow (prime) until insulin appears at the needle tip.

Why does no insulin appear when I try to clear the air bubbles, and why won't the push button go in?

The needle might be blocked. Change the needle and make air shots until insulin appears at the needle tip. Check if the Penfill® is empty.

Why does the push button block during injection?

Never try to force the push button down. Check if the Penfill® is empty. If there wasn't enough insulin in the Penfill® for the whole dose, you will see the number of units you still need to inject in the dosage indicator window. Remember this number. Change the Penfill®and set dose according to the number - and finish injection.

Why can't I get the piston rod back inside the return mechanism when I change Penfill®?

The return mechanism may be locked. Gently twist the return mechanism from side to side until it comes out. Then turn the return mechanism to the right until the piston rod is completely inside it.
