PREDICTIVE™ study
Predictable Results and Experience in Diabetes through Intensification and Control to Target:
an International Variability Evaluation
PREDICTIVE™ is a large prospective, open-label, non-interventional, study involving more than 35,000 juvenile and adult patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes from more than 20 countries across the globe.
This observational study is evaluating the safety and efficacy of Levemir® (insulin detemir) when used in routine clinical practice. The study aims to demonstrate the benefits of Levemir® treatment seen in clinical trials, as well as collecting important information on diabetic treatment patterns and glycaemic control.
The primary end-point is to evaluate the incidence of serious adverse drug reactions, including major hypoglycaemic events, during Levemir® therapy. Secondary endpoints include HbA1c, FBG, FBG variability, weight change, insulin dose, titration schedule and concomitant diabetes medications.
PREDICTIVE™, which is one of the largest observational studies ever conducted in diabetes, highlights the commitment of Novo Nordisk to enhance treatment of diabetes and improving the quality of life of those it affects.
