About the programme
The Global Marketing Graduate Programme is designed to provide you with comprehensive knowledge of our marketing operation and a solid understanding of the underlying business. The programme is a 2-year journey consisting of three 8-month rotations within the marketing and sales departments, both in Global Marketing Headquarters in Denmark and in our global affiliates. During the programme you will experience a variety of challenging tasks and projects - from cross-departmental project work, internal/external stakeholder management to a broad variety of tasks related to pre-launch activities, product launch, and lifecycle management - offering increasing responsibility within Novo Nordisk's broad portfolio of diabetes and other life-changing products.
When you have successfully completed the programme, you will be equipped with the necessary skills for a successful career in Novo Nordisk - typically with a position in Denmark, e.g. as a Product Manager or Project Manager. However, your broad network and international experience from the programme will also provide global career opportunities.

What you will be doing
During the three 8-month rotations you will work full-time and learn the marketing skills and analytical competences relevant to the rotation placement. The rotations are all characterised by a steep learning curve and high expectations will be set for you. The flow and content of the rotations are shaped individually to suit your skills and development needs while at the same time meeting our business requirements and addressing our focus areas.
Below is an example of how the rotations could be shaped:
Based in our headquarters in Denmark, the first rotation will give you in-depth experience with the entire pharmaceutical life-cycle of a brand as for example launch/life-cycle or pre-launch. Tasks are strategic and analytical in nature and could include challenging tasks such as product strategy development, positioning/branding, market research, forecasting, conferences and development of promotional material and communication.
Rotation 2 - Marketing rotation
The second rotation will be based in one of our global affiliates. Here you will gain insights into the analytical and operational work of a Local Product Manager. You could be working on product launch planning/execution, annual business planning, conference organisation and development of educational materials for physicians and patients.
Rotation 3 – Sales rotation
Your last rotation will give you experience with the final link in the pharmaceutical value-chain. You will get to understand the foundation of the pharmaceutical business drivers, our customers´ needs and the selling skills necessary to connect with our customers. You will be given responsibility for your own customer and sales targets. Opportunities in sales can also include involvement in sales operation tasks such as targeting or performance analysis.

Throughout the programme you will be working closely with your mentor to plan your rotations and enhance your professional and personal development to learn as much as possible.

Have you got what it takes?
To join the Global Marketing Graduate Programme you have completed – or planning to finalize - a master's degree in a relevant field, for example within marketing, branding, product management or business and have no more than 1 year of work experience since finishing your studies. You have an above average academic record and an excellent command of both spoken and written English.
You are driven by a desire to make a difference and are performance-oriented, outgoing, ready for change and you have a “can-do” attitude. Being part of a company at the cutting-edge of a highly complex and innovative industry, you will need to be able to learn fast and communicate your great ideas well. You also have a strategic and analytical mind-set.
