About the programme
The Business IT Graduate Programme will offer you a unique chance to gain broad knowledge of how technology is used to enable business processes and operations in a large organisation, while working with an international community of professionals to fight diabetes.
Furthermore, you will gain invaluable skills and experience in several core IT fields, including project management, system management, infrastructure management, governance, strategy and sourcing. You will learn to take ownership of projects while building a strong network with international colleagues. What you will be doing
The Business IT Graduate Programme is a 2-year journey consisting of four 6-month rotations based in our corporate headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark. Three of the programme rotations will take place in Denmark, while one rotation will take place in one of our global affiliates.
Throughout the programme you will be working closely with your programme manager to plan your rotations and enhance your professional and personal development as much as possible. A senior member of the IT Management team will be assigned as your mentor in order to further strengthen your development.
The flow and content of your four job rotations are shaped individually to fit both your skills and development opportunities and at the same time to meet our business needs and focus areas. A rotation flow could look like this:
IT Governance: Introduction to the overall IT governance and IT strategies in Novo Nordisk, you will be assigned to projects and tasks related to IT project methodology, IT strategies and IT governance.
IT Assurance and Group Internal Audit: Understand the importance of IT compliance and practice to conduct an IT audit in the Novo Nordisk organisation e.g. in Product Supply.
Abroad rotation in a global affiliate: Working in one of our global affiliate offices such as Princeton, Zürich, Tokyo or Bangalore, you will become acquainted with the local IT organisation and see the IT organisation from an affiliate perspective doing tasks and projects on both local and global level.
Business IT area: You will be involved in projects and system maintenance within one of our four Business areas e.g. “R&D IT” where you will participate in projects with specific focus on how IT support the business processes within Research and Development; tasks could include managing projects, system management, vendor management and maintenance of large, global IT systems and platforms.
These four rotations are only one out of many possibilities. The rotations will be designed to meet business objectives and learning objectives for the Business IT Graduates. Throughout the rotations the graduates will have mentors and managers who will closely work with them, guiding and developing them.
After successfully completing the programme you may embark on a career at Novo Nordisk in a permanent position; As project manager within business consulting, in a specialist unit or in a role taking steps towards your first leadership position. While you could be based in Denmark, your broad network and international experience from the programme will enable global career opportunities.

Have you got what it takes?
To join the Business IT Graduate Programme you must hold a master's degree in a relevant field, for example within information systems, information management or business administration and have a genuine, proven interest in information technologies. You have an outstanding academic record and strong international exposure. You have no more than 1 year of work experience and you are excellent at speaking and writing English.
We are looking for people with the ability to bridge technology with business needs. An international mind-set and a passion for learning are essential. You are performance-oriented, outgoing and willing to learn from others. You should be able to work as part of a team, but also be able to work independently and be prepared to take ownership of your projects and assignments.
