A company has both a moral and a legal duty to protect the health and safety of its employees while they perform their jobs. We have a long tradition of working actively with health and safety issues and we have reorganised ourselves recently in Denmark to manage these issues better.

Prevention is obviously best. But in the event of occupational injuries, work-related illness or alcohol abuse, a safety net helps. In this section, we describe some of the support systems we have built up in Denmark to cushion the fall and help employees bounce back again.

Effectively managing the health and safety needs of our employees as well as providing good working conditions is a top priority. We see these as fundamental needs that should be fulfilled before someone is expected to start a day's work. This is why we make this our starting point for the social report.
